Breaking Down the Inaugural Lineup

The last two weeks have been a whirlwind to say the least, and I can't thank you all enough for the early success here at PDC.

For those of you who are new around here, or returning customers looking to branch out or pick up that last-minute holiday gift, I thought it would be fun to break down the inaugural lineup so that you can pick your perfect candle. And don't forget - the 4oz tins are the perfect size testers if you want to try something out. Let's go.

The Cold Weather Collection has everything you need for the cold days and cozy nights of wintertime. Pond Hockey is an early fan-favorite mix of icy winter air and smoky, earthy cypress. But don't forget about Cabin Sweater - a woodsy cashmere that'll take you to the mountains for a warm and toasty getaway. It sold out early, and we're restocking a very limited quantity soon. Stay tuned to grab yours if you missed out the first time. We do generally expect to carry Pond Hockey and Cabin Sweater through March.

Are you in the Christmas-only zone now? Time to break out the Buffalo Plaid everything, and we have the perfect candle to match. PDC's Buffalo Plaid is a warm inviting vanilla with all the holiday clove and cinnamon your heart desires. Speaking of cinnamon, we consulted Santa this year to find out what he really wants you to leave out for him. Turns out he loves holiday cider donuts, so that's exactly what inspired our Donut Stop Believin' scent. Sweet!

Not to be outdone is the last minute addition of Christmas by the Sea, a fresh oceanic scent with an unmistakable Tannenbaum Twist. Christmas by the Sea was a Bob Ross happy accident that perfectly celebrates coastal New England life and the classic Christmas Tree vibe we all know and love.

What kind of candle studio would PDC be without some magically-inspired and nostalgic Disney candles too?

Grand Old Holiday has been a big hit during limited release. If you've ever visited Disney World during the holiday season, then you know all about the life-size gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian Resort. Cinnamon ginger grahams, orange spice and vanilla frosting make up an awesome treat.

If for some reason the winter blues got you down, take a trip to the tropics with our two Adventureland tribute scents. Tropical Hideaway is a favorite of the Tiki Birds at Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room - lots of coconut, lots of mango, add a dash of pineapple and you get the picture. If a Caribbean cruise is more your speed, then you might like PDC's inaugural mandle, Tide Turner. Will Turner of Pirates of the Caribbean fame may have hated his pirate life in the early days, but then he went all in, and he probably smelled damn good doing it. Maybe like some amber musk and cardamom, mixed with all that salt water he's always drenched in?
